At Mayfield Saddlery, we believe in comfortable horses and confident riders. Run by Juliette Lilly, a Society of Master Saddlers-qualified saddle fitter and saddler, we combine experience, expertise, and horse-first care to provide professional saddle fitting and high-quality saddlery.
Based in East Sussex and serving the surrounding counties of West Sussex, Kent, and Surrey, we are led by Juliette Lilly— a Master Saddler and saddle fitter, registered with the Society of Master Saddlers, BHS qualified, and trained in biomechanics.

Meet Juliette Lilly (Jules)
Juliette Lilly is the owner and brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to every fitting. As a qualified saddler and saddle fitter registered with the Society of Master Saddlers, Juliette combines expertise with a genuine passion for horse and rider comfort.

Based in East Sussex, she carries a large stock of new and second-hand saddles, along with bridles, girths, and other essential tack—ensuring every customer receives knowledgeable guidance and high-quality equipment tailored to their needs.
​
Juliette has had horses for all her life and has competed in show jumping and dressage, but is now more of a happy hacker whilst her daughter takes over the competitive role. This has helped her to understand the importance of saddle fit for both the rider and the horse.
